What you need to know ?

• Familiarity with Wix Studio and its advanced editor.

• Basic understanding of responsive design.

• Basic understanding of CMS concepts (as FlexKIT integrates seamlessly with "forCollections").

• The workshop focuses on implementation and integration, not pure design.

• We'll be working in "advanced mode" within the editor.

Workshop Structure 

3 Classes via Zoom Screen Share

Intro (1 hour):

• Discuss your current workflow, any challenges with efficiency or complex layouts, and what you hope to achieve with FlexKIT.

• We'll start with a basic template to demonstrate FlexKIT integration, which you'll keep for future use.

Lesson 1: FlexKIT Definitions & Core Concepts (2 hours):

• What is FlexKIT? Understanding its purpose as a toolkit of pre-built blocks.

• Overview of FlexKIT's features: database-powered blocks, auto field connection, responsive CMS menus.

• How FlexKIT streamlines website development and enhances design flexibility.

• Homework: Explore the FlexKIT demo site and identify 3 blocks you'd like to use in a project.

Lesson 2: FlexKIT & CMS Integration (1.5 hours):

• Seamlessly integrating FlexKIT blocks with your "forCollections" CMS.

• Connecting app repeaters to "forCollections" datasets for automatic field connection.

• Using FlexKIT for dynamic content displays and efficient content management.

• Homework: Implement a dynamic list or grid using a FlexKIT block connected to your CMS, pulling in content from a "forCollections" dataset.

Lesson 3: Complex Uses & Agency Workflows (1.5 hours):

• Leveraging FlexKIT for rapid prototyping and efficient content management on complex web applications.

• Creating stunning, responsive websites without the hassle of breakpoints, using FlexBox layouts.

• Building a library of reusable assets for your agency using FlexKIT.

• Homework: Customize a FlexKIT block to meet a specific design requirement, demonstrating its flexibility.
